With her goal in sight, Power Woman has learned the secret to achieving goals is to make sure that you are focused on the end result. What do you want to achieve? Having lost chapters of her book and determination to pour it on for this final push to the finish, Donna is giving us no excuses. She's vlogging anywhere and anytime it's convenient for her (total self-love ..... such a good student) and writing every opportunity that she can. She's understanding that by freeing herself to focus on her dream and not on all the details of "how", it's happening! Sometimes we just need to get out of our own way!
We seem to like to think that we have it all figured out and know exactly what steps to take because we have come to the brilliant conclusion that "this" is the best or the "only" way to get the task accomplished. What if how you planned things doesn't work? And what if you are focusing on the wrong thing? Today, Donna finds the answer to this - and I don't know about you, but I love seeing Donna smile! Look, when everything hits the fan, we can cave to our circumstances or we can realize that we have Power Within to choose to smile. Listen to why Donna is smiling after losing entire chapters of her book! "Connection and connectedness are other words for community and communion." Parker J. Palmer Today, Donna is determined to successfully complete her 30 day challenge and has called in the troops to help her achieve her goal and #makeithappen. Why is important when you fall off the horse to get right back on and continue down the path? Fear and doubt! If you don't get back on the horse and continue from the point that you are, you will be stuck standing in fear and doubt. Today Donna is determined to not let her recent setback stop her. She has found a solution and is getting back on the horse. Get 'er done PowerWoman! What do you do when you suffer a major setback and it feels like everything that you worked for comes crumbling down? When you fall down, how quickly do you get up? When we were toddlers learning to walk, every time we stumbled and fell, we didn't stay down - NO! We got back up and tried again! We were also encouraged to get back up - and so we did. What stops up from being so quick to get back up as adults? Today Donna suffers a major loss and setback - see how she's getting right back up! It's crazy how one negative comment will stick with us, whereas the laundry list of positive things that people say are quickly dismissed. But it's these positive comments that we need to focus on to keep us going - so consciously taking note of these positive statements is in order. Today Donna discusses so very special words of encouragement. She only has 10 days to go! Keep it coming ya'll! Today another light bulb pops on! Donna realizes that when we use what we have to work with, it's a whole lot easier to recognize your successes. She's smiling (and lucid) :) Yeah! Power Woman is recharged! Priorities. Balancing all of the things that have to get done in a day can be tough, and sometimes when we feel the pressure of this we make what we have far more difficult than it needs to be. In today's episode, Power Woman talks about trying to juggle all of her priorities and how she prioritizes what needs to get done. Donna is having a tough time with this - don't worry folks - the coach is stepping in! :) It's kind of crazy that when you know how to do something that you don't even doubt that it's possible or that you can, but when you don't know how to do something self-defeating thinking (doubt and fear) enter the picture. Similarly, when we gain an understanding of how powerful our thoughts are and how we can change our current reality just through the thoughts we choose, we realize that self-defeating thinking is a choice! Today Donna becomes inspired by the thought of infinite possibilities as she accepts that new belief. See how Power Woman re-emerges valiantly to keep on pushing though to the completion of her very own book. Distractions, when you have a big goal, are a part of the territory and require that the individual take a deep and reflective learning journey inside. Distractions, more specifically, giving in to distractions, is actually a self-protect mechanism. We have a goal, yet we allow things to get in the way - why? Because we are afraid of our own success. Instead of letting ourselves down from failure (which we know if we learn from this it's really a win), we distract ourselves from what we are discovering- which can be uncomfortable - and so our mind tries to protect us from discomfort. As Donna has continued to ask herself why she has taken on writing her story in the first place, she is uncovering pain, discomfort, and insecurities - challenging her own worthiness - a big difference from the confidence and surety we saw just a week ago. Why? Because this is a natural protection tendency for all of us - and why so many people give up on their dreams. But oh no! NOT Power Woman! She's pushing through! Did you know that most people give up right before their big break? It takes pushing through the barriers to have an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. And you can get there with perseverance and a willingness to do some inside work as you push through. Today Donna talks about how her writing is cathartic and healing and also how she is taking on her tendency to become distracted. These are helpful distraction busting tips that many of us can use when we are trying to keep our eyes on the prize! |
